Employees employment period is divided into Leave Periods of 1 year. Start of leave period is set by support team and can be seen at Attendance → Settings → Leave Calender Start Month

Leave Areas Master
Attendance → Settings → Leave Areas Grid
For multi country or regions organizations define one leave area for each geography. Map leave area to location when defining a location.
Holiday Calender Areas Master
Attendance → Settings → Holiday Calender Areas Grid
For multi country or regions organizations define one holiday area for each geography. Map Holiday Calender Area to location when defining a location.
Leave Entitlement Master
Attendance → Settings → Leave Entitlement Grid
Setup Entitlments by Leave Type and Leave Area, Use Date From to specify new entitlement effective from particular month.
- First add a row for Leave Area, then add all leave types entitled in that Leave Area.
- The entitlement can be a fixed number or a calculator (Help on writing calculators)
- More advanced calculations can be done by support team using Logic Builder.
Attendance → Holiday Settings
You can map single holiday to multiple Holiday Areas.
If Holiday is marked Restricted Employee will need to apply for this holiday using leave type base as Restricted. Number of Restricted holidays that can be availed are controlled from Restricted Leave Type Entitlement.
Overtime Type selection allows to set overtime type that will be generated if employee works on this holiday.
Go to Work Force–> Administration –> Leave–> Leave Adjustment
Add a Adjustment type leave Encasement, Leave Type and Date From should be in the month of leaving before the Ex-Employee date
